A Feast of Abundance
Our first annual Feast of Abundance last year was exactly that! Food, friends, and gifts abounded! We feasted on smoked turkey and pecan pie. We shared the table with half Kitsap House folks and half people who were our neighbors. Altogether we filled a table overflowing with gifts that would create welcome kits for refugees resettling in Western Washington.
And we said – let’s do it again! Every year – Friendsgiving style!
This was the pattern for God’s people beginning at least as early as moving into the Promised Land in Moses’ day. They were to celebrate the harvest with a week of feasting. That gathering was open to all who lived in their land and benefited their neighbors.
So we’re keeping the feast!
Please join us Sunday, November 17th at 12:00pm at the Yacht Club for our second annual Feast of Abundance. To not miss out on any of the celebration of abundance, prepare these three things to bring:
A NEIGHBOR – Invite someone! Who in your life could use a moment to celebrate abundance in community?
A DISH – Let us know what you’re bringing! We’ll fill in the gaps last-minute.
A GIFT – Check out the list. World Relief let us know what they’re needing to restock.
And we’ll see you at the party!
