Mitchell House: Walk Into Hope Restored

Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young—a place near your altar, Lord Almighty, my King and my God. Blessed are those who dwell in your house; they are ever praising you. - Psalm 84:3-4

A restored 1153 Mitchell Ave will be a place of healing and belonging for our broader South Kitsap community, and a hub for Kitsap House. Within the heart of Port Orchard, a block and a half from our local high school students, it is accessible to the entire community. Renovated with an outdoor half-court, a community garden, counseling offices, kids rooms, a commercial kitchen and a large gathering space, Mitchell House will be the community’s space to share and experience the love, joy and presence of God.

We can create this together – all in what is currently the most broken down, boarded up building on the street.

Phase 2: Restore the Building

Have a vision beyond the building;
the building might change but the vision doesn’t have to.
