Come Try with Me!
My favorite part of Costco is the samples. There’s nothin’ like going in on an empty stomach and just seeing what kind of a meal gets created when you put together half a pita bite and hummus, one dino nugget, a quarter of a blueberry muffin and some green açai juice, am I right? You can always get a slice of pizza on your way out.
Well, we’re putting out some sample opportunities to come try.
We hope that not only will you take us up on the invite, but that you’ll bring a friend who might want to try along with you.
Faith conversations require a level of trust and even enjoyment of the people you’re talking to. Let’s introduce each other to our friends (and for us parents, celebrate making it through the first week of school!) at Yoked Brewery. Food, beer, and nonalcoholic drinks are available for purchase. The environment is fun for all ages! We’ll be providing a treat for everyone and free meals for you and a friend for the first 6 people to bring a friend!
Yoked Brewery on Friday, September 16th, 4:30pm in Olalla
2. Try Alpha
#tryalpha is a movement that invites people to share a meal, ask the biggest questions of life, and hear where others come from without judgment. The first week asks the question – Is there more to life than this? Aren’t you curious what your friends would say? Invite them to “come try Alpha with me.”
Alpha for elementary kids will be offered at the same time.
Alpha on Thursday, September 22nd, 6pm 703 Kitsap Street
3. Try A New Way with Practicing the Way
Many of us will find our way into a life of faith along ancient paths. The practices of faith we’ll explore during Practicing the Way allow us to be with Jesus, become like Jesus, and do what Jesus did. This is a great follow up to Alpha and we hope an intriguing way to help people build and reconstruct life with God in community. A light dinner will be provided.
Practicing the Way for elementary kids will be offered at the same time.
Practicing the Way on Monday, September 19th, 6pm 703 Kitsap St.
We are excited to try new (and ancient) ways of being with God with you this fall. It’s such a joy to be on this journey with friends. We look forward to seeing you over this next week!
Come try a new way with me!
